Having worked as “the wife” for five different employers, not to mention my ex, I can tell you now: you’re not paying her enough. I don’t mean this as judgment; I simply mean that the headspace and energy and sanity I put into those jobs never felt quite worth it. So glad to be working an office job, going back to graduate school, being my own wife now. I never feel at the end of the day like I’m getting shortchanged. (PS My house is a wreck #blessed)
