Hahaha! That's pretty subversive, apologizing to piss someone off :) I love it.

I'm a lot like you, Kathy -- confrontation frightens me. Something that's helped me is remembering that confrontation is really just a conflict, and conflicts are necessary for growth. Kind of like how to build muscle, you have to work at it and tear it down a bit. I'm getting better at voicing my feelings with people I care about, and each time, I learn again that people can be mad at me and still love me. Just like I can be mad at them and still love them. The nice thing about facing conflict head-on is that at least we know we are mad! ;)
